29-10-2005 >> It's been long since the last update. Here it is. A lot has happened: Rebuild an engine for the yellow Mini, bought a red Mini, sold the yellow one. Did a lot of work on the red one, restarted work on the Van. Bought bike TB's, bought a TIG welder (AC/DC).

p1020324.jpg (600 x 800) 29-10-2005 - The fuel tank send is leaking a bit. It's the only leak left...
p1020326.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Pretty, isn't it? :)
p1020327.jpg (600 x 800) 29-10-2005 - New cover on the left rear door, after messing up the the previous cover.

p1020332.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Bought throttle bodies of a Kawasaki ZX6R. I plan to use half of this setup. The four injectors are good for 128 hp (80% duty cycle), so I'll need at least three for a 90 hp engine. Or buy bigger injectors. BTW: These bike TB's are outright sexy! They make the loved SU carb look like a steam machine.
p1020337.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Air filter, ram-air setup.
p1020340.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - On the front of the TB's are electric motor operated secondary butterflies. When you fully open the throttle at low RPM, these butterflies open up slower to keep airflow at a high speed. I'll remove them for the Mini.
p1020341.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Secondary butterflies opened.
p1020342.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - A look from the bottom. Strangely, the middle TB's have a longer intake.
p1020395.jpg (600 x 800) 29-10-2005 - I bought a really nice, second hand AC/DC TIG welder.
p1020400.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Manual settings.
p1020794.jpg (600 x 800) 29-10-2005 - New welder on top of my MIG welder. On the left my new and cool looking helmet.
p1020795.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - Finally some work on the Mini. Here I'm repairing rusted panels in the right rear side window. Spot welded in place.
p1020797.jpg (800 x 600) 29-10-2005 - First TIG welding on the Mini.
p1020800.jpg (600 x 800) 29-10-2005 - Panel is pretty straight. It'll need a bit of filler, but not too much.
